Some nights begin by looking up at the sky and end by becoming a lasting memory. On 12 August, Cielito, the Bonito rooftop, hosted a special evening to celebrate the total solar eclipse, which could be seen from the rooftop at 8:30 pm, with views over San Antonio Bay.
The eclipse marked the beginning of a night that continued with Mexican cuisine, music, a saxophone performance and a fireworks show in the pool.
Dinner Under a Different Sky
The evening began at Cielito, the Mexican rooftop at Bonito Ibiza, with a gastronomic experience designed to accompany the evening as the eclipse unfolded.
At 8:30 pm, guests were able to watch the phenomenon from the restaurant’s rooftop. Cielito’s elevated location offered views over San Antonio Bay as the sky changed throughout the eclipse.
It was a unique moment within an evening designed to combine a gastronomic experience with one of the most remarkable astronomical events of the year.
A Gastronomic Experience to Share
Food also played a central role throughout the evening. Guests enjoyed a selection of dishes from the Cielito menu, discovering different flavours from its Mexican-inspired cuisine.
The experience was accompanied by some of the restaurant’s signature cocktails: the Paloma and the Spicy Margarita, two of Cielito’s standout drinks. The combination of food, cocktails and atmosphere allowed guests to enjoy the evening well beyond the eclipse itself.

The night reached another highlight with a fireworks show in the pool, enjoyed from the rooftop with views across San Antonio Bay. The evening therefore evolved from the anticipation of the eclipse into a celebration that continued well into the night.
